Are you looking to improve your snatch or clean and jerk? Want to build more confidence under the barbell and finally hit that elusive PR? Whether you're a CrossFitter wanting to refine your lifts or a strength athlete prepping for your first Olympic lifting meet, this 12-week class is for you.

Olympic Weightlifting Class: Fall 2025

Join us this fall for a progressive 12-session Olympic Weightlifting program at Beach City Fitness. This small-group class will take you deep into the technique and strength needed for the snatch, clean and jerk, and all the key accessory lifts that support them.

📅 Class Details:

  • Dates: September 13 – December 6, 2025 (Tuesdays)
  • Time: 6:30–8:00 PM
  • Coach: Ron Turner, CF-L2, competitive coach with experience at Canadian Nationals and record-holding masters athletes
  • Cost: $35 biweekly or $200 one-time payment
  • Spots Available: Limited to 10 athletes - open to members and non members of Beach City Fitness

This course is ideal for lifters of all levels—from beginners working on technique to experienced athletes chasing heavier lifts or prepping for a local Olympic lifting competition (Kelowna meet coming in November – details TBA).

What You’ll Learn

This course isn’t about just moving weight—it’s about moving well. Ron will take you through:

  • The Snatch: Improve bar path, timing, overhead position, and stability
  • The Clean & Jerk: Develop explosive power, smooth transitions, and confident lockouts
  • Accessory Lifts: Front squats, pulls, presses, and more to build strength and reinforce good positions
  • Skill Progressions: Drills and breakdowns that help you move more efficiently and confidently under load
